Polyester/cotton blend: This blend is ideal for fitness sweatshirts. The fabric efficiently wicks away perspiration, keeping you dry during your workout. What's more, it dries quickly after washing, making it easy to care for. Some sweatshirts may also contain elastane, a material that offers great freedom of movement during your workouts.
100% cotton: If you're looking for a cozy sweatshirt to keep you comfortable before or after your workout, cotton is your best ally. It provides warmth and softness, giving you a cocooning feeling.
If you're particularly sensitive to the cold, you'll probably prefer the classic sports sweatshirt: the hoodie. It comes in handy on rainy days or if you're planning to go for a run... or if you're taken by surprise by bad weather during your outdoor Pilates session.
However, for reasons of comfort and safety, it's advisable to wear a hoodless sweatshirt during your workouts. You'll be more comfortable lying on your mat, running or doing jumping jacks during your HIIT session. It's also more practical if you're using a weight bar and need to rest it on your shoulders. If you really want to cover up during exercise, you can also opt for a lighter, more suitable model: the sports jacket.
