"Black Diamond's Distance Carbon is to the trail runner what the sword is to the best samurai: the ultimate weapon! Designed in collaboration with BD athlete Joe Grant, the fixed length Distance Carbon weighs only 95 grams per unit (120 cm), making it the lightest stick in our lineup. Contact points are minimalist but carefully positioned, such as the subtle mid-shaft grip ring that provides both balance and grip when running with the pole held horizontally. The Distance Grip is made of durable, ultra-lightweight EVA foam and has been streamlined. The tip has been completely redesigned to reduce its volume and be compatible with Z-pole snow pucks. In other words, these poles are designed to go fast in the mountains, whether it's for a 10-hour ultra trail or for chaining peaks in a fast and light style."
