Weather protection and freedom of movement
For complete weather protection, we designed it with a tough, abrasion-resistant Powertex 2-layer membrane outer fabric with a durable 100% PFC-free water-repellent finish and welded seams. We also use a special, lighter 2-layer outer fabric enriched with wool fibers to give you greater breathability and freedom of movement.

Thermo-regulating insulation
For insulation, these pants are lined with an extra layer of TirolWool® Responsive in 60g at the top of the legs. This gives you natural warmth with the added benefit of thermo-regulating synthetic insulation. TirolWool® was developed in collaboration with the Tyrolean Mountain Rescue Service and is made from the wool of Tyrolean mountain sheep from local farmers, who are paid fairly for their wool. Our proprietary Responsive technology features synthetic yarns with heat-reactive minerals embedded in the fabric. They recycle the body's natural infrared energy and release it over time. TirolWool® Responsive is an excellent insulator in cold and wet weather.

Functional details
At the waist, stretch inserts and integrated hook-and-loop tabs provide a comfortable fit and ergonomic freedom of movement. For added ventilation, zippers that open to a mesh insert are present at the upper thighs. There are numerous safety storage options, including two waterproof front cargo pockets and two side pockets with waterproof zippers. At the bottom of the leg, the clever zippered gaiter near the cut-resistant inserts ensures a snug fit to keep snow out of the boots.
