Bivouac in Italy

To take advantage of the beautiful days, Clémence made a tour around Italy and shows us her hikes in Valle d'Aosta, through some pictures. Her 4 days between Courmayeur, Morgex, Valgrisenche, Aosta and La Thuile, allowed her to have fun and enjoy the landscapes.

Courmayeur is a ski resort in the north-west of Italy, located at the foot of Montblanc. Known for its SkyWay Monte Bianco cable car, which offers a view of the summits, including the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa. For city travellers, the Duca Degli Abruzzi museum presents the history of mountain guides, which is interesting to learn more about their profession and their equipment.

Morgex, which is in the heart of Valdigne at 923m above sea level, is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Popular for the production of PDO white wine, which is one of the highest wines in Europe, you won't leave empty-handed.

Valgrisenche, situated at 1664m altitude, is home to a small ski resort for fans of snow sports. Beautiful and long hikes are accessible for all levels. Equipped for heliskiing can take you to the discovery of 50 ski touring itineraries.

Aosta, the capital of the Aosta Valley region, is close to ski resorts. Surrounded by magnificent peaks such as Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Gran Paradiso and Monte Rosa, you will be amazed by the view.

La Thuile is also an Italian commune of the upper Aosta Valley. Situated between France and Italy, La Thuile was one of the very first properties of the House of Savoy, along with the Tarantaise and Maurienne valleys.

The Grand Paradis

Clémence has created the Grand Paradis, mentioned above. Starting at the very bottom in Pont, the hike has 20km and 2100m of positive difference in altitude, for an arrival at 4061m of altitude. Through her few photos, our ambassador says she had good snow conditions, good weather and a real moment of pleasure despite the world at the summit.

Thanks to our ambassador, Clémence David for her feedback on her experience and her visuals. See you soon for future releases.
