Burton turns to eco-responsibility

Burton is on of the best snowboard brand which cannot be missed during your winter shopping. Created in 1977 by Jake Burton, marked this sport by offering the first board with metal edges : the Performer. Thanks to its features, the practice of snowboarding has been considered like a sport.

Over the years, Burton has turned to eco-responsibility and is now an eco-responsible actor through different actions.

2020 goal : The goal is for the Winter 2022 collection to be all bluesign certified, containing only sustainable cotton with no biocide and less water. Carbon emissions will be reduced by 20% and packaging will be made with recyclable or compostable materials.

Burton supports the POW association

To date, Burton supports Protect Our Winters (POW). Indeed, from November 28 to December 02, Burton raises awareness about climate change by encouraging its consumers to participate. This permits to the brand to support the POW mission, which is to turn outdoor enthusiasts into climate advocates.

To support this cause, several actions are available to you :

- Go shopping on the Burton site or in some of its stores so that the brand can pay back 15% of your amount for each sale, to the association.

- By subscribing to the brand newsletter, Burton agrees to pay € 5 to POW for each registration

- Join a #doitforpow event in a Burton store and donate on site

It's tomorrow November 29th that Burton and Pow have planned #doitforpow events on Black Friday. The Munich, Zurich, Innsbruck and Helsinki stores will be pleased to welcome you.

Burton boycott the black friday

No price reduction for Burton on this long-awaited world day! The goal is indeed to desposit money to good causes. Here, Burton wants to show his commitment against the culture of overconsumption.

The results of these donations : All donations from Burton Europe will help the European sections of POW to strengthen their market presence and focus on systematic solutions to climate change. By engaging with associations like POW, Burton wants to protect our playgrounds.

... Now, it's your turn ...
