After the skis connected 2 years ago with Piq, the famous French brand has crossed a milestone by offering the first electric skis in October 2019.
Conceived in Sallanches in the greatest of secrets, the engineers are proud of this success. Contacted yesterday by fax, the project manager Thibault Ampere confided to us: "it's 3 years and a half of development, with a ski equipped with extraordinary technologies. New have integrated a last generation propulsion engine connected to a rechargeable battery in Blueooth. They are able to climb slopes up to 55°".
It will now be possible with the Rossmaps application to create your GPS track, start skiing at the bottom and then let yourself be guided to the summit. A feat of technology that should surprise more than one.
In marketing there is already a lot of work to do. "The common man will be able to follow the top athletes. No need to get the rope out."
