Ski Trab skis are designed, analyzed and tested in Bormio (in the Italian Alps) thanks to a system that allows to produce prototypes and to test them in laboratory in every physical and dynamic phase.

This is the innovation that allows Trab to obtain the lightest skis in the world. Lightweight skis can be manufactured without compromising performance and reliability.

Test conditions

The Mistico skis were assembled with Mistico skins made by Colltex, Skitrab's partner. The bindings used are the TR2 bindings, the revolutionary bindings from Trab.

Tested on 1200 m of D+ mounted with the needle in La Clusaz in November and then at Sulens in the Aravis and at the foot of the Charvin.

Who are Mistico skis designed for?

Mistico skis are designed for those who come from freeride and want to keep their skis wide while having much lighter skis for the ascent. The goal is to gain weight while keeping fun.

It is equipped with HBO technology, acarbon micro-mesh envelope that allows to stiffen the skis in torsion by more than 40% while keeping the distribution of flex on the main axis.

Previously I used Atomic Janak skis for freeride, so it's very wide and very pleasant to ride in powder. During my first descent in 40 cm of snow, I immediately understood the Trab argument of wanting to make Mythical skis.

You gain weight and still have fun in the snow. And on the way up you gain weight. A pure delight.

- Light skis and excellent downhill skiing skills. In spite of light skis you can enjoy it just as much in powder. The TR2 binding certainly amplifies the feeling of excellent ski hold when skiing downhill.

- Stability of the ski on the descent that perfectly absorbs the movements of the terrain.

- A ski perfectly designed for powder conditions, this is where you get the most out of it. The Attivo progressive shape also allows good maneuverability in all snow conditions. We tested it in hard snow and despite its width, the ski's handling and stability is still very good.
