Freeride and Mountaineering Bag Test Osprey Mutant 28

The Mutant 28 backpack from Osprey is a ski touring and mountaineering backpack that can be used all year round. It can also be used as a companion for a mountaineering trip in the Mont-Blanc massif or for a ski touring trip over La Giettaz.

Ski touring outing to La Giettaz at Grand Croisse Bollet: about 1100m of d+.

The bag included: ski mask, wallet, a sweater, 2 picnic boxes, shovel + a second layer removed during the climb, a water bottle.

Assets and description of the Bag Osprey Mutant 28

It's a bag designed relatively simply with the multiple assets of Osprey's know-how. First we find a main compartment where we find all our stuff: the shovel, the probe, the picnic box, clothes, his water bottle, his ski mask. It all depends on how it is organized, but at least we know that the main one is in this pocket.

A bag with a stretched back, very nice not to feel what you have in your bag.

Precise adjustment in order to carry your bag in the most efficient way and according to your size: length of the straps, ventral and pectoral straps, etc.

2 pockets on the top of the bag for personal belongings: glasses, wallet, keys (with clips so they don't get lost)

You can attach everything to the bag: snowboard, skis, ice axe, crampons... The attachments are very easy to use and can be easily adjusted according to your equipment.

Helmet holder to be fixed on the top of the bag.
