Lightweight, its hydro-formed tube offers a very comfortable grip under the head of the axe. The technical design of the shaft provides the necessary clearance for use in steep and icy terrain. The well-balanced, forged head provides excellent anchoring qualities. The grip on the shaft makes it a precise and efficient ice axe.

Technical characteristics:

Lightweight: lightweight ice axe that retains weight in the head for good anchoring power.
Hydroformed shaft for a good grip and a technical design:
- the shaft is curved at the top to provide good clearance when climbing,
- the bottom part is straighter and guarantees effective penetration of the snow.
Head and blade made of hot-forged steel, ensuring solid anchoring:
- thin blade (3 mm), robust and toothed at the end, ensuring good anchoring quality in hard snow and ice,
- thicker blade in the center to promote grip in soft snow.
- teeth in the upper part of the blade strengthen the hold of the axe when used as a pick-axe,
- robust stainless steel point for very good penetration in hard snow and when used as a pick-axe.
High strength and practicality:
- very strong steel shaft with a comfortable bearing surface and edge design for efficient step cutting,
- angled shaft to guide the axe correctly through the snow (for use as a pole),
- head and tip with holes for a carabiner or strap,
- high quality aluminum shaft (aluminum 7075 used in aeronautics), with anodized finish for excellent protection.
