I used to hike and found Dolomite shoes and boots to provide excellent support. I am now a senior citizen with significant arthritic damage to my feet. Dolomite shoes give me better fit and foot support than the orthopedic shoes the doctor recommended. The anatomical fit of this pair is excellent (the fit of Dolomite shoes is very consistent) as is the "light" anatomical support, especially arch support. The shoe stabilizes my heel and there is plenty of width and height to the fore foot. The shoes are supportive, durable, and the sole grip is outstanding. There is room for my orthopaedic inserts. Very happy with this purchase
