Test of the Maremma 26 backpack from Vaude

Today, we offer you the return of the test of the Maremma 26 backpack, a perfect backpack for hiking.

Test conditions

We tested the backpack Maremma 26 during a short 3h hike in the Semnoz in Haute-Savoie with the superb view of Lake Annecy.

What I had taken with me: a windproof jacket, camera, sunglasses, snacks, Lifestraw bottle, cell phone, keys, sticks.

The assets of the Maremma 26

First impressions: a very comfortable bag thanks to its taut back, very well ventilated, to hike in full comfort, without even feeling it on the shoulders. The straps are soft and not sharp. The back belt is well adjusted and reinforced for support and carrying comfort.

The cut is adjusted and thought for the female morphology, the straps are fully adjustable.

Comfort and support.

The pole holder on the front of the bag, no discomfort at all when walking.

Ergonomics of the bag

- A large main pocket, reachable from the top of the bag and by a zip on the side ;

- Two pockets on both sides of the bag, to put small objects, small gourds, cereal bars, ...etc. all being easily accessible;

- Compartment on the flap of the bag, ideal for storing a small windproof jacket;

- Stick holder on the top of the bag, practical and efficient;

- Small pocket underneath the bag, designed for the raincover (included).
