Scarpa's Phantom 8000 is the perfect shoe for freezing temperatures. They are the ideal footwear for expeditions in the Himalayas, Pamir, Andes and Arctic regions. This expedition boot consists of an outer shell, a removable inner liner and an integrated gaiter. Warm feet, little weight and a lot of comfort, these are Scarpa's declared objectives. The outer shell with its quick lacing is waterproof and composed of different layers: water-repellent microfiber, insulating felt, aluminum for better heat retention, cork and EVA foam.

The Sock-Fit construction ensures a particularly comfortable sock-like fit. The Altitude 8000 inner liner is also multi-layered for maximum thermal insulation: elastic outer material, high-density EVA foam, felt, aluminum, Aerogel inserts and PrimaLoft insulation. This prevents frostbite and the liner can stay on the foot in the sleeping bag. The integrated waterproof gaiter wraps the entire boot, provides extra insulation and keeps the snow out. It opens with a waterproof zipper. The Vibram 0 Gravity Lite outsole provides optimal traction and accepts crampons. The Carbon Tech insole consists of a comfortable EVA layer, insulating Aerogel and carbon fiber that is both stable and lightweight. A removable insole provides good thermal insulation and reflective elements complete the Phantom 8000.
