Millet's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy based on a 10-pillar approach:

1. DEVELOP QUALITY AND SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS

We are increasing the number of products carried over from season to season to gain mastery and quality over these products, but also to reduce pressure on our supply chain. Moreover, the materials we use are tested intensively for their durability in our internal laboratory. If you prefer natural materials, discover our selection of eco-friendly natural materials designed to respect the environment.

2. REDUCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR PRODUCTS THROUGH ECO-DESIGN

We are developing an internal eco-design reference called LOW IMPACT, shared among the 3 brands, which allows teams to challenge themselves and reduce the environmental impact of our products each season. In this approach, you will also find our range of eco-friendly outdoor equipment made from recycled materials.

3. PRIORITIZE THE PURCHASE OF CERTIFIED MATERIALS

We systematically prioritize the selection of certified materials (Bluesign®, Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, RDS, GOTS) for the design of all our products, while ensuring to offer eco-responsibly manufactured products for our demanding customers.

4. ENSURE THE SOURCING OF ANIMAL-DERIVED MATERIALS

All feathers and down used in our textile and bedding collections are certified to ensure that their production does not involve animal mistreatment. We are also working on our supply chain for wool and leather to make progress in this direction.

5. APPLY AND EXCEED REGULATIONS ON THE USE OF CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES IN PRODUCTS

We update our Restricted Substances List (RSL) for all our products every year, ensuring that we do not use prohibited or harmful chemicals for health or the environment.

6. PROMOTE PRODUCTION IN EUROPE AND IN OUR OWN FACTORIES

We prioritize production in our own factories, where we control working conditions, and increase our share of products manufactured in Europe each year to reduce our transport-related impact and gain agility and quality in our product developments. In parallel, our assortment also offers fair trade products from responsible supply chains.

7. EXPLORE AND BETTER UNDERSTAND OUR SUPPLY CHAIN

For many years, our group has been referenced by its social and environmental audit system of its partner factories. In 2017, this system was updated to make it even stricter and more demanding.

8. STRENGTHEN OUR OWN AFTER-SALES SERVICE AND REPAIR

We have a unique prototyping and repair workshop in-house, composed of a team of 10 people, 2 of whom are fully dedicated to repairing products received in after-sales service.

9. COLLECT AND VALORIZE USED PRODUCTS ON THE MARKET

We are responsible for the products we put on the market, which is why we have implemented a process for collecting, sorting, and valuing textiles and equipment at the end of their life, allowing us to avoid landfilling or incinerating several tons of products each year.

10. COMMIT TO OUR COMMUNITIES

The brands MILLET, EIDER, and LAFUMA each support, at their level, for many years, the players in the outdoor sector who work to establish a social and environmental balance in our playgrounds.
