GRIGRI + is an insurer with assisted braking and anti-panic handle. It can be used with all single strings from 8.5 to 11 mm. Thanks to the reinforcement plate, it is suitable for intensive use, indoors and on cliffs. The reduction of the handle allows an exceptional control of the descent. A selector button allows you to choose between two belay modes: reel or head climbing. The reel mode and the anti-panic handle make GRIGRI + particularly suitable for learning.

Characteristics :

  • Belay device with assisted braking compatible with all diameters of single ropes, for indoor and cliff practice:
    - common gestures, based on accompanying the rope in the device and the permanent support of one hand on the rope on the braking side,
    - belay comfort, thanks to assisted braking: when the climber falls, the device pivots on the carabiner, the rope tightens and the cam pinches the rope to brake it. The hand, holding the rope on the braking side, enables the cam to be engaged, hence the importance of always holding the rope on the braking side,
    - compatible with all dynamic single strings from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm,
    - rope installation diagram engraved on the belay device (inside and outside),
    - very high durability, for intensive use, thanks to the stainless steel reinforcement plate.
  • Exceptional comfort during the descent:
    - comfortable grip and simple unlocking of the rope, thanks to the ergonomic handle,
    - very progressive control of the running of the rope providing a smooth and comfortable descent.
  • Particularly suitable for learning and supervisors:
    - anti-panic handle: if the insurer pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function is triggered and stops the descent,
    - choice of belay mode, reel or climbing at the head, thanks to the selection button: the belay mode in reel facilitates slack recovery and offers a more comfortable belay,
    - possible locking of belay modes.
