GRIGRI is a belay device with assisted braking , designed to facilitate belaying maneuvers, both indoors and on the cliff. Both compact and light , it can be used with all single strings from 8.5 to 11 mm in diameter. Assisted braking improves belay comfort during the track work phases and when stopping falls. The reduction of the handle allows an exceptional control of the descent.

Characteristics :

Belay device with assisted braking compatible with all diameters of single ropes, for indoor and cliff practice:
- common gestures, based on accompanying the rope in the device and the permanent support of one hand on the rope on the braking side,
- belay comfort, thanks to assisted braking: when the climber falls, the device pivots on the carabiner, the rope tightens and the cam pinches the rope to brake it. The hand, holding the rope on the braking side, enables the cam to be engaged, hence the importance of always holding the rope on the braking side,
- compatible with all dynamic single strings from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm,
- rope installation diagram engraved on the insurer (inside and outside).
Exceptional comfort during the descent:
- comfortable grip and simple unlocking of the rope, thanks to the ergonomic handle,
- very progressive control of the running of the rope providing a smooth and comfortable descent.
