        The mattress is 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick. It uses diagonally perforated foam for added warmth without excessive weight, and has an R-value of 2.4 for three-season comfort. This lightweight self-inflating mattress features our high-performance WingLock valve, which allows the mattress to inflate three times faster thanks to a larger opening and one-way inflation. Like all Therm-a-Rest mattresses, the ProLite is manufactured locally to ensure quality and minimize environmental impact. The mattress comes with a compact storage bag.

        EXPERT OPINION: I-TREKKINGS       

        The Prolite small mattress from Therm-a-Rest is a lightweight self-inflating mattress with an interesting R-value for 3-season use. It is quite comfortable considering its thickness. Its other global characteristics (compactness, weight, ease of use) make it a self-inflating mattress to be seriously considered when you want to reduce the volume and weight of your backpack while keeping comfort. It's the comfort that makes it a good choice among the self-inflating ones. I really liked it during my 3 seasons outings. As for price, the Prolite is not cheap, and Therm-a-Rest's mattresses are a bit expensive overall. Fortunately they have a lifetime warranty against defects.
