The lower hole is designed to properly position the carabiner, while the upper hole is for the insertion of a safety connector. The geometry of the device is validated for traverse use, and the drainage holes for mud and dirt are located on both the cam and the body. The body of the device is made of aluminum alloy, while the cam is made of microfused stainless steel. It is certified according to EN 12841/B for semi-static ropes from 10 to 13 mm and according to EN 567 for ropes from 8 to 13 mm.
