The system features separate elastic bands with clips that attach directly to each pole (just below the handle) before the race. A special snap hook connects the elastics (and therefore the poles) to each other, enabling them to be quickly attached to one of the backpack's loops. The other end of the poles (the tip end) is attached to one of the shoulder straps using a hook (with elastic, adjustable and removable). For optimum comfort, the bag is made from two different fabrics, including a soft, breathable and ultralight elastic mesh bottom section.
