Scarpa Vapor Lace Shoe Test

Scarpa Vapor Lace Shoe Test

Test conditions :

I tested in the Spanish Pyrenees in Catalonia, the Vapor Lace from Scarpa during two weeks of climbing, on long and long routes, on different rocks: limestone, granite, conglomerate, limestone conglomerate. Very complete test conditions.

Presentation of the slippers :

The Vapor Lace combines comfort and precision. The foot is perfectly wrapped in the shoe. The asymmetry and camber are light and therefore allow the shoe to stay on the foot without suffering.

The tip is fine and very precise. The shoe is constructed with a BI-TENSION system that maintains tension between the toe and the heel for a perfect transmission of support. It can therefore be trusted on very small holds.

In use:

They are very versatile. The comfort and precision of the Vapor Lace make them very good long-track boots. You can keep them on your feet for several lengths without pain.

These shoes behave very well on slabs, whether on small holds or on adhesions.

They are designed for all climbers: for the most experienced climbers who are looking for a high-performance shoe without having to give up comfort and for intermediate levels who want to acquire more precise shoes.

Finally, no need to worry about their shape, the lace-up fastening will allow you to adjust them to the shape of your foot.

My little tip :

I make a knot at the end of the laces to prevent them from coming out of the eyelet when I put them on.

Thanks to Clementine for this complete test.
