On Thursday 5th July 2018, we were 16 accompanied by the Scarpa teamathlete Yann Heusey at the Scarpa Vertical Series in Annecy. This event allowed us to test several pairs of shoes of the Italian brand.
SPIN
The SPIN Scarpa is designed to go fast over short distances. It offers a good grip while being stable and precise.
250 grams for a size ten. 6mm drop and Vibram sole.
Pierre, a regular practitioner of trail: "One of the technical characteristics of this shoe is the minimal protection under the foot and I felt it. People looking for cushioning will not turn to this model. Nevertheless, they are light and have a very good grip".
Ludovic, confirmed runner: " Very good trail shoes of minimalist design. They grip very well on dry ground, it would have been interesting to try them on greasy ground".
NEUTRON
The NEUTRON Scarpa is made for the trail in competition, over medium and long distances. The TPU frame allows for torsion reduction which improves stability and the energy return (XRS: Extra Rebound System) offering efficient foot unwinding.
335 grams for a size 10. 6mm drop and Vibram sole.
Jean, occasional runner: "A shoe that holds well with the impression of bouncing with each step".
Marine, trail runner: "These shoes have a cushioning that allows you to run for a long time and the Vibram Megagrip sole provides great grip.
