Since its creation, ORTOVOX has offered quality products to guarantee the best protection for mountain people. A production of products that is characterised by a responsible commitment to people, animals and the environment.

Here are the different commitments of the Ortovox brand:

A responsible commitment to people with the Fair Wear Foundation.

Which since 2015 verifies the improvements carried out by its members, with annual performance verification at headquarters, audits of production facilities and the possibility to complain for the workers in the factories.

A commitment to environmental protection

Since summer 2016, the brand has been a member of EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association) which works to protect the environment worldwide . Since its creation in 2006, this group of companies belonging to the European outdoor industry has been collecting donations to support public utility projects.

A commitment to animals

In 2013, the brand ORTOVOX decided that merino wool would only be sourced from six selected farms in Tasmania and not from the wholesale market. The brand thus ensures the following points:

1. WELL-BEING
Avoid moral and physical suffering related to the treatment of animals. For example, mulesing is not used on any of our six farms.
2. HEALTH CARE
Through prevention to diagnosis and rapid treatment.
3. ANIMAL WELFARE
With sufficient space, clean facilities and the company of other animals.
4. COMFORT AND PROTECTION
Thanks to a suitable environment with shelters and comfortable rest areas.
5. FOOD CONTROL
With constant access to fresh water and healthy, nutritious food.

A commitment to European production

The production chain consists of 30 companies in 10 countries. 65.5% of the textile products come from Europe. When choosing production sites, ORTOVOX uses the guidelines of the Fair Wear Foundation and decides to work only with companies that share the principles and moral values of the brand and are committed to respecting working conditions.
