An authentic pair of Oakley has three key indicators: (1) the code engraved inside the temple starts with “OO” followed by 4 digits (model number), then a dash and a colorway number. (2) The Oakley logo is sharp and symmetrical. (3) The lenses carry the UV 400 certification and the “OAKLEY” marking in full on the lens (in UV light). Counterfeits often omit the OO code or have improper engravings.
Prizm lenses amplify certain wavelengths to enhance contrast and definition based on the environment (road, trail, snow, water…). Prizm Polarized lenses combine this technology with a polarized anti-glare filter that eliminates reflections from reflective surfaces (water, wet road, snow…). For skiing and water sports, Prizm Polarized is recommended. For road biking and trail, Prizm (non-polarized) allows for slightly better depth perception.
The simplest rule: goggle size = helmet size. If you wear a M helmet, take a Flight Deck M. If you wear an L helmet, take a Flight Deck L. Outside of the helmet, consider your face: the Flight Deck L is more suited for a standard large adult male face. The Flight Deck M fits better for women, smaller faces, or those who prefer a less imposing goggle. If you have a large nose or a very wide face, the L will be more comfortable.
Yes. Oakley goggles are compatible with the vast majority of helmets on the market thanks to their adjustable strap and triple-layer foam that adapts to different helmet shapes. Optimal compatibility (“no gap”) is guaranteed between Oakley goggles and helmets of the same size. With other brands, a slight gap may appear depending on the shape of the helmet. In practice, Oakley goggles are also known to be very compatible with Smith, POC, and Giro.
Oakley data based on official guides (oakley.com/size-chart), SportRx, Oakley Forum (data engraved on confirmed frames), SkatePro (helmets), Switchback Travel (MOD5 test). The dimensions of the glasses are standard values — some limited editions or colorways may have slightly different measurements. Helmet sizes apply to the entire MOD range unless otherwise indicated.
