New Diamir Fritschi 2017 / 2018: Tecton 12 the Free rando with power

Fritschi Diamir News 2017/18: New brand image and new generation of pin fasteners

Hiking bindings, Swiss version

Development is always focused on the customer and his individual needs. The Fritschi Vipec Evo 12 and Tecton 12 bindings are systems based on a lightweight construction combining maximum safety, easy and ergonomic walking, precise ski handling and downhill agility. All parts are manufactured in Switzerland and assembled in Reichenbach (Canton of Berne) to form a high quality product. After assembly, each binding undergoes a thorough quality control including a check of its proper functioning.

Fritschi Diamir Tecton 12 - Free riding with power

The result of the combination of the new Vipec Evo 12 stop (with pins) and the revolutionary heel retainer with a jaw down retention system, it achieves an incredible minimum weight of only 550 g (the unit without ski stop) and offers even more power and safety. Equipped with the Safety Pin System, the Tecton 12 takes the step towards free riding.

Three-dimensional force transfer
Easy and precise handling of even wide skis. At the rear, where the major forces occur, the Tecton 12 remains as stable and rigid as an alpine ski binding and transfers forces directly and without loss between boot and ski.

Downward restraint system

Without space
Direct contact boot-binding-ski. The retention system provided by the jaw plates the sole of the boot onto the base plate in direct connection with the ski, ensuring a direct transfer of forces at all times.

Heel retainer with Power Rail

Like in a vice
The shoe stays still. Absolute novelty: the Power Rail in the heel clamp acts on the insert, immobilises the shoe in the centre and prevents the loss of force due to lateral movements.

Static construction

Continuous transfer
The heel piece remains stable. The heel unit retains its lateral stability when descending. Unlike other pin bindings, the transfer of forces is not interrupted by the rotational movements of the heel retainer.

Front to rear release with 9 mm dynamic travel

The comfortable release
Compensation of tensile forces. As with alpine ski bindings, the front release occurs at the set DIN value via the heel clamp with a dynamic travel of 9 mm. The spring's return force prevents unintentional release and compensates for the high tensile forces applied to the leg in the event of a forward fall.
