Test of the trail shoe Alpine Rush by Millet

Millet outdoor sports andmountaineering specialist has presented us this year with a trail shoe: the Alpine Rush. Its particularity is its Michelin sole in order to offer a product with a very good grip especially on downhill.

It exists in a woman's and man's version

Test conditions

We have been testing the shoe for more than a month on the slopes of Parmelan, Veyrier, the Beauregard plateau at La Clusaz (in particular) in Haute Savoie. Outings of less than 1h00 to 3h00 on paths, technical terrains (in the Dolomites) in order to test the shoe on all types of terrain.

The advantages of the Alpine Rush

First it's a trail shoe that is meant to be reassuring. It will make many happy especially those who like to make outings half walk half run. It is a very comfortable shoe that can very well convert into an approach shoe when you need it.

Let us return to one of the main assets of the Alpine Rush his Michelin sole. The tyre brand communicates a lot about the adhesion of its tyres in all weathers. The trail shoe Alpine Rush meets these demanding specifications. A traileur wishes above all to be able to count on the adherence of his shoe on the ascent or descent.

Whether on trails, on technical passages or other, it is a privileged asset that allows us to make good descents. Our boots allow us to swallow without any problem 1000 / 1500 m of difference in altitude on the descent.

L'Alpine Rush is equipped with a precise footwear to give you maximum precision even on demanding terrain and in the middle of a downhill run.

Like many trail shoes it is a breathable shoe, this is very pleasant especially when you swallow the kilometers and it is hot.

Abstract

Millet makes a success with the Alpine Rush and in particular its Michelin sole. A shoe that weighs only 320 grams, but which is reassuring and comfortable in any situation.

For those who want lighter food, you'll have to wait until 2018 with the Alpine Rush light (see presentation) for a weight of about 250 grams.
