Inspired by the legendary Sella Towers in the Dolomites, our Sella Responsive 3-layer jacket is designed to provide versatile, all-around protection for high-intensity mountain activities, whether you're climbing off-piste slopes, exploring icy couloirs, or scaling classic snow-covered ridges.

A membrane with remarkable performance

The innovative material of the Powertex Responsive membrane does not go unnoticed. Designed specifically for use in alpine terrain and mountain skiing, the 3-layer laminate fabric is extremely abrasion resistant, yet lightweight. It also has excellent waterproof (water column: 20,000 mm), windproof and breathable properties (MVTR: 20,000 g/m2/24). What's more, this material has a water-repellent treatment (DWR) that is entirely free of PFCs.

Improved thermoregulation

On the reverse side, however, Powertex Responsive is equipped with a revolutionary smart technology. We give it a special textile print made from a unique blend of thermo-reactive minerals. Responsive absorbs the body's natural far-infrared (FIR) radiation energy and releases it back into the muscle tissue over time, even if you wear several layers in between, because the FIR radiation energy can pass through other materials. The result? Increased blood flow, improved cellular performance and increased oxygen levels that promote better performance and faster recovery and help you stay warmer longer. Responsive has been scientifically proven and worn by climbers. Plus, the print is permanent and won't fade with each wash.

Special mountain features

The Sella Responsive has a specifically feminine athletic shape and comprehensive mountain features. The storm hood with integrated stand-up collar has a one-handed adjustment system, a pre-shaped visor and helmet compatibility. The maximum range of motion prevents the garment from riding up when climbing. For added protection from the elements, the seams are welded and the cuffs are Velcro adjustable, while deep side zippers provide additional ventilation. The two front pockets have waterproof zippers, a large chest pocket is easy to access when wearing a harness or bag, and there are two large interior stretch pockets. The one-hand adjustable elastic hem is easy to operate and there's also a stretchy snow skirt with side snap closure. The full-length, two-way zipper allows you to adjust it while still having access to your belay loop and is easy to operate even when wearing gloves.
