Salewa is committed to offering high quality mountain sports products with minimal impact on nature. Salewa has put a lot of effort into creating and selling socially and environmentally responsible products. The goal of the brand is to improve on these issues little by little.

MANDATORY 

1. Chemical Control: More than 90% of the product weight meets at least one of the following criteria:

- The primary material (or the entire product) has been chemically tested by an independent organization according to the Oberalp Chemical Policy

- The primary material is bluesign® approved

2. Factory monitored for social standards: The production plants have been inspected by third parties to verify compliance with social standards and working conditions. Each audit is valid for 3 years. If the last audit was carried out more than 3 years ago and a new audit has not yet been carried out, this criterion does not apply.

ADDITIONAL

1. PFC-free: This criterion only applies to models with a long-lasting water-repellent treatment. All materials used in the model must be PFC-free.

2. Recycled Content: The product contains at least 50% recycled content (by weight).

3. Upcycled: The product has been manufactured with at least 50% recycled content (by weight).

4. Responsibly sourced down: The product's down is RDS (Responsible Down Standards) certified.
