Technology:

• Thermoshield: Thermo Shield is the basic treatment we apply to all our ropes to give them the famous Edelrid flexibility. The treatment consists of a thermal process that perfectly aligns the core and sheath wires. A special heat treatment relaxes and then shrinks the rope fibers. This harmonizes the sliding characteristics of the wires inside the rope, making it both flexible and compact. The result is ropes that won't shrink or become stiff quickly.
