    I used these gloves to do the winter summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, USA. At first I thought they would be overkill, but when we were caught in a whiteout above the tree line and the temperature dropped to -25°C with an average wind speed of 104 km/h and hourly gusts of 146 km/h (bringing the wind chill to -46°C), they were exactly what I needed. They kept me warm when few competing products did. These mittens are perfect for use with an ice axe or tool, and the wide cuff is ideal for keeping out snow, freezing cold and wind. These are by far the best mittens on the market.
