Freeride board for unrivalled riding sensations, ideal for everyday use

The Frontier is a directional freeride board with a pleasant flex, designed for the everyday all-mountain snowboarder. It has a floating nose for freeride and a tail for freestyle, making it ideal for a variety of snow conditions.

It offers a pleasant flex for fun riding, a directional shape for stability, and a rocker profile for float and grip. Its 8000 sintered base and Traction Tech 2.0 sidewalls ensure speed and grip on hard snow, while its 3D Contour base guarantees fast gliding and fluid turns.

Features :

  • Friendly flex and directional shape: Offers fun gliding and optimal stability in variable snow conditions.
  • Directional rocker profile and short side cut: Ensures exceptional flotation, superior grip and easy slashing.
  • Sintered 8000 base + Traction Tech 2.0 and 3D Contour Base edges: Guarantees high speed, edge-holding on hard snow and smooth corner entry.

Technical features :

  • Friendly flex for a fun riding experience
  • Short sidecut for easy slashing
  • Sintered 8000 base + Traction Tech 2.0 sidewalls for maximum speed and excellent edge grip on hard snow
  • Subtle yet effective, the 3D Contour base features a balance between a 2 mm bevel in the nose and a 2 mm bevel in the tail. The bevel of the spoon starts just after the rocker point.
  • Like a serrated knife digging into the snow, the Traction Tech improves edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the entire length of the board.
  • At the ends of the sidecut, the radius gradually increases until the edge reaches the contact point. The gradual increase in radius from the sidecut to the contact point means that turns can be entered and exited more smoothly, as the edge enters and exits the snow with a less abrupt transition.
  • The flex is offset from tip to tail, designed for directional freeride boards. The nose, centerboard and tail have slightly different stiffnesses to help lift the nose, sink the tail and improve stability at speed.
  • Jones's exclusive wood core profile gives the board a stable, playful feel. The wood core is softer between the feet for easier turn initiation and stiffer in the nose and tail for greater stability on uneven terrain and when landing airs.
  • A hybrid rocker/camber flex defined by more tip rocker than heel rocker and camber between the bindings. The rocker in the tip floats the nose of the board and improves maneuverability, while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and responsiveness. The lightly rockered tail retains the power and stability of a traditional board, but keeps the tail from snagging when initiating turns and landing on switch.
