The Flocon Vert is a quality label created in 2011 by the association Mountain Riders, ensuring a sustainable commitment from mountain tourist destinations. Choosing a destination with the Flocon Vert means opting for sustainable and responsible tourism for your holidays!

This label aims to raise awareness about sustainable tourism, by labeling resorts with the Flocon Vert, the organization wants to highlight environmentally friendly destinations while guiding nature lovers to sustainable tourist destinations. To get as close to nature as possible while respecting the environment, it is also essential to equip yourself with everything for camping.

A label with multiple facets

To be awarded the Flocon Vert label, mountain resorts must positively validate 20 criteria. The criteria are divided into 4 themes:

Governance and destination
Local Economy
Social and cultural
Natural resources and ecology

The Flocon Vert and its awarded destinations

Since 2011, the label has rewarded several resorts, in the Alps, we find the following towns: Chamrousse, Châtel, Megève, Valberg and the Chamonix Valley. The Jura massif has also been rewarded with Les Rousses as well as in the Pyrenees with the resort La Pierre Saint Martin.
