HAGLÖFS fights against clothing waste
Launched during the year 2019, the"Leftover" program started with the sleeping bag in the colours of the Rainbow. In this one, it was possible to see and understand its manufacture, using fabric cuts saved from the production line.
Following good results, the brand Haglofs decides to intensify this "Leftover" programme to combat clothing waste. Thus, two new products are manufactured for winter 2019/2020: mittens and slippers. These models are of course made from wasted and/or recycled fabrics.
The purpose of this program?
These new products are launched with the aim of reducing environmental impact. Through their features, your feet and hands will be kept warm, while guaranteeing you the greatest comfort. As you will have understood, the Leftover program's primary goal is to reduce the production of waste.
As you can see in these photos, the colours chosen are bright. Indeed, this choice of colour results from the fabric scraps during the cutting of the textile parts, which are themselves, of all colours.
"We have taken advantage of this situation by making these mittens and slippers from unique and brightly coloured patchworks" Sofia, Head of Innovation at Haglofs
Advantages of these products?
These mittens and booties are uniquely designed with incredible quality and high quality synthetic insulation. Very functional, these two categories of products protect you from wind and water, keep you warm and are also easy to transport.
To go even further, their robust recycled 30D Pertex envelope ensures tear resistance. It also has a DWR treatment to guarantee protection against humidity.
The key words?
Comfort and performance.
