Millet tells you how to take care of your outdoor clothes!

The products Millet are not only designed to last, they are also easy to maintain. Careful use and regular maintenance will ensure the best results from these products andincrease their life expectancy.

When in doubt, always refer to the instructions on your product label.

CLIMBING SHOES AND BOOTIES

  • The shoes Millet are to be washed with water and by hand using a soft brush or sponge.
  • Do not machine wash or dry your shoes.
  • Drying should be carried out in a natural way.

BACK BAGS

  • Backpacks Millet are to be washed with water and by hand using a soft brush or sponge.
  • Do not machine wash or dry your backpack.
  • Drying should be done in the open air.

CORDES

  • The maintenance of a rope is essential to guarantee optimal safety during its use.
  • To wash a rope, it is necessary to use clear, warm water(temperature below 30°C) and a non-aggressive detergent (such as liquid Marseille soap or detergent for delicate textiles). If necessary, brush with a soft brush.
  • Drying should be carried out in the shade and away from any source of heat.
  • Store your rope in a dry place away from the sun.

SLEEPING BAGS

  • Air your sleeping bag regularly Millet to give it back some freshness and make sure it's dry before storing it.
  • For sleeping bags that do not contain down, the general washing and drying conditions apply.
  • For sleeping bags containing down, refer to "Products containing down".

DOWN-CONTAINING PRODUCTS

  • For products containing down (100% or hybrid), machine washing is done on a delicate programme with a special down detergent or a non-aggressive detergent and accompanied by tennis balls to prevent the down from clumping together. If there is any washing agent left over, restart a rinsing programme on its own. Do not spin-dry the product in the washing machine.
  • Drying can be done flat out in the open air by turning the product over regularly to dry it well, or in a tumble dryer on a delicate programme.

CLOTHES

  • Clothing Millet should be machine washed at 30°C and tumble dried on a low temperature programme. To guarantee optimal washing without damaging the product, close the velcro, press studs and zippers and loosen the elastic cords before putting them in the machine.

CLOTHING with waterproof materials

  • This is particularly the case for the following subjects: Gore-Tex, Polartec Neoshell, Dryedge, Windstopper, Element Shield...
  • After closing velcros, zippers and press studs, wash your product at 30°C with a little non-aggressive detergent or a special detergent for waterproof materials. If there is any washing product left, restart a rinsing programme on its own. Drying can be done in the open air or in a tumble dryer at low temperature.

It is possible to use a specific product to re-waterproof your product or give it back its water repellency.
