Presentation of the Odlo brand

ODLO is a company founded in 1946 in Oslo by Odd Roar Lofterød Senior. In 1979, Odd Roar Junior took over the family business and transferred the headquarters from Norway to Switzerland in 1986.

The brand, born in Norway, designs, develops, manufactures and sells clothing and accessories for alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, trail, hiking, running, fitness, cycling, etc..

Its slogan is "Always one step ahead", understand:always make sure you areone step ahead. And this is made possible thanks to the many innovations of the engineers. ODLO.

The technologies they develop are often recognized and rewarded. For example, in 2010, ODLO won two world-renowned awards for the seamless running outfit of Norwegian biathlete Bjørndalen. The red dot design award for outstanding design and the Plus X Award for innovation and technical properties of the garment.

Sustainable development and social responsibility are at the heart of the company's corporate culture. ODLO. Among other things, its products have a very long lifespan, it is part of the Fair Wear Foundation, favours long-term partnerships and 73% of its products are made in Europe (mainly Portugal and Romania).

A precursor, ODLO is the brand that laid the foundations for the 3 three-layer system . The first is the one that manages humidity, the second the one that insulates/protects from the cold, the third the one that protects from the elements/outdoor weather.
