The Low Impact label at Lafuma

Lafuma is a French brand created in 1930 which manufactures and distributes clothing and accessories in a spirit of simplicity and accessibility to accompany the slow movement in outdoor and urban terrain in a sustainable development approach.

The Low Impact label identifies products that are exemplary in terms of sustainability, using certified low-impact materials, manufactured in audited factories and transported by boat and/or train.

Designed by Lafuma, the Low Impact label is a set of product development constraints to reduce the impact on the environment without limiting the performance and use of products.
Low Impact is very demanding because it is based on the ratio between the weight of low impact materials or Bluesign® and the weight of the product and not just on the number of low impact materials.

For example, thisLafuma Track Down F-Zipjacket iswindproof and water-repellent for all your daily trips. Its down filling guarantees maximum warmthin cold weather .Style is not forgotten withcareful stitching. It is Mix&Match compatible withthe other protective jackets in the collection and has the Low Impact label .

Or the Softshell Lafuma Machabyfor women which also has the Low Impact label, for short excursions in autumn weather, this comfortable softshell keeps you warm and dry. Wind, cold, rain, the Machaby protects you fromit with its 3-layer membrane material and its long pile fle ece structure on the inside, while still allowing freedom of movement thanks to thestretch characteristics of the material .

68% of textile products are labelled Low Impact, an increase of 126% compared to the previous season.

The objective for 2020 would be to reach the 80% of low impact textile products.
