Today, Kamik is still a family owned and operated business in Canada, with an extended family of over 400 employees. Even after four generations of producing quality footwear, they are always looking for new and sustainable ways to improve their practices.
Kamik, learned that it was time to become an eco-fabricator by reducing fuel costs and water consumption.
Kamik's removable boot liners are made from recycled plastics. For every pair you buy, you contribute to giving life to a minimum of 3 plastic water bottles.
In the last 5 years Kamik has reused, recycled and processed 15 million plastic bottles, 90% of the cooling water used, the equivalent of 15 Olympic swimming pools, 360,000 black rain boots have been produced from recycled rubber and are in turn recyclable, their recycled and recyclable packaging saves the equivalent of theCO2 emissions of approximately 132 cars.
