In 1948, the company started selling its first ski waxes in Norway. The high quality of its products led elite Norwegian skiers to start using them. SWIX's reputation quickly spread.
Research has been Swix's most important goal since its inception. Its continued focus on improving and developing technology has kept Swix at the top of the field when it comes to ski poles, ski wax, preparation equipment and training clothing.
CONVINCED THAT NATURE IS NOT GOING AWAY
Swix has a deep relationship with nature. It is their main source of inspiration for the development of their products, and it is in nature that they make sense. That's why their goal is to develop and maintain a sustainable value chain, to ensure that future generations can experience nature as we know it today.
The production and consumption of clothing makes great demands on our planet, requiring resources that pollute and negatively affect the planet. Therefore, SWIX assesses its pressure on nature, but above all takes action against it.
AN INNOVATIVE BRAND
Swix is an innovative slow-fashion brand, using timeless colours, quality and design to give our products a long life. In 2020, it stopped the production of fluorinated ski wax. It took many years to find the best alternative, but today all of its hair removal products are fluoride-free, non-toxic and biodegradable.
Its goal is to phase out fluoride in our textiles by focusing on finding new ways to keep our products waterproof and windproof without compromising the environment.
