Our company's history began in 1927, when Bror With, on the eve of a ski race, had the idea to use the steel springs from an old bicycle saddle forged in the fireplace for a clamping bar. Using Marius Eriksen irons, he created a new binding by drilling holes in the ears of the clamping hoop held in place by a strap. This invention caught the attention of Crown Prince Olav, who saw the bindings and was impressed. Bror With patented the bindings under the name Rottefella and the following year the Norwegian military patrol won Olympic gold in St. Moritz with our bindings.

The Rottefella Freeride telemark binding was developed specifically for carving on groomed ski slopes. It is widely acclaimed by telemark World Cup athletes. The binding is available in two different lengths: short for sizes 26 and under. The short version of the Freeride comes with soft green Power Tubes, which allow you to adjust the bending resistance and release force. The binding is equipped with a 110 mm wide ski brake. Additional ski brakes of 95 mm and 125 mm can be purchased. The binding is compatible with NTN boots.
