Since 1951, we have been designing equipment to provide exceptional outdoor experiences. While much has changed since then, at Helsport we are still committed to our original vision. We still strive to ensure that you can have adventures in the wild, that you can trust our gear enough to challenge yourself, and that you can enjoy the best outdoor experience possible, whether you're spending your first night in a tent or traveling across Greenland for a month.

Our history at Helsport is the result of a journey marked by a multitude of unforgettable moments. These moments have occurred through encounters with inspiring people, challenging adventures and bold ideas. While each of these events may seem insignificant, together they have shaped the Helsport company we know today.

We began our journey by producing spacious, multi-bedroom tents with impressive ceiling heights - where barbecues, swim shorts and Hawaiian shirts were commonplace. Over the years, we've innovated to become the first to produce tunnel tents, arctic expedition sleeping bags and other equipment to withstand the world's harshest weather conditions.

As a manufacturer of equipment for outdoor experiences, Helsport's goal is to provide quality products to enable its customers to experience adventures in the wilderness with confidence. Since 1951, the company has evolved and now strives to work responsibly at all levels, taking into account ethical and environmental issues.

In 2017, after joining Brav AS, Helsport strengthened its focus and resources to act responsibly. The company is now under the same Ethical Trade Norway (EHN) membership as Brav AS, allowing Helsport to work collaboratively to achieve its sustainability goals.

Helsport's ambition is to become a model for a responsible and environmentally friendly workplace. The company works to create healthy working conditions for its employees and seeks to collaborate with partners who share the same ethical guidelines.

In achieving its sustainability goals, Helsport is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goals 8, 12 and 13. The company aims to promote long-term and inclusive economic growth, to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, and to combat climate change and its consequences. Finally, Helsport seeks to enhance the value of the implementation of its objectives by collaborating with other actors committed to sustainable development.
