For this we control them regularly. VAUDE has obtained the status of leader that the FWF only grants to the most exemplary members.

With our Green Shape label, we offer functional, ecological and sustainable products. When manufactured, we strive to ensure fair working conditions throughout the production chain. Our evaluation criteria are draconian and transparent. They are regularly checked and cover the entire life cycle of the product - from design through to maintenance, repair and use, and manufacturing.

VAUDE products with Eco Finish are water-repellent and environmentally friendly, without fluorocarbon (PFC). PFCs belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in many outdoor products for waterproofing the exterior material. They are subject to criticism because they are considered non-biodegradable, they are concentrated in the body, and they are believed to be harmful to health. VAUDE has a clear commitment: to completely renounce PFCs.
