The Faction Studio 1X is a freestyle ski designed in partnership with Faction's team of freestyle athletes. It offers precision performance and effortless style, thanks to a poplar and ash core for lightness and rigidity, and carbon reinforcements for impact resistance.

Its symmetrical shape makes switch skiing easy. It also features a carbon weave for torsion resistance, 7 mm XL sidewalls for better edge hold and wood core protection. Its top fabric is specially designed to celebrate women in skiing.

Technical features:

• Symmetrical Twin: Fully symmetrical twin-tip shape, combined with a slight rocker in the tip and tail and a pronounced camber, offers skiers maximum precision and grip.
• Flex Boat: The more pronounced rocker is complemented by strong, rigid tips and tail, which help stabilize the skis and prepare them for variable snow conditions. What's more, the stiff tips absorb more vibration when skiers land after jumps. By adding a little more flex underfoot, skis can be loaded and bounced on demand.
• Poplar core: a soft, light-colored wood of moderate weight and strength, with excellent flexibility and remarkable vibration-absorbing capacity. When used as the sole material in the core, it enables the ski to gain momentum with torsional stability that ensures impressive downhill grip.
• XL 2.5 mm edges: 2.5 mm edges are 35% higher than our standard 1.8 mm edges, which are already very strong. This increased steel thickness provides skiers with skis that can withstand more intensive use and last longer.
• Carbon/rubber reinforcement: a 600 mm long by 15 mm wide carbon/rubber reinforcement is placed under the foot, above the edge, to provide extra strength where it counts most in terms of this ski's performance.
• Full-surface carbon fibers: each of these carbon strips is interwoven with fiberglass to ensure uniform strength and rigidity along the entire length of the ski.
• Full Strenght Sidewall construction: full-strength sidewall construction involves applying layers of protective material along the edges of the sidewall, between the edge of the ski and the topsheet. The edges provide maximum grip and stability when the ski is turning, while protecting the wood core, edges and outer surface from external impact and damage.
