We're Faction, a company that makes high-end skis for freeride, freestyle and all-mountain skiing. We take inspiration from the world's best athletes to design our products and tell their compelling stories. Our team is made up of skiers, artists, filmmakers, engineers, partners, dreamers and actors who are passionate about the mountains and the world's best escape tools.

We started as a small group of rebel skiers in Verbier, Switzerland, prototyping new ideas in the epic alpine playground. We quickly became a creative force in bringing passionate innovation to the ski industry. Today, our relentless development process allows us to create award-winning skis that are used by the world's most demanding alpinists, including Freeride World Tour champions, Olympic and X Games gold medalists, and over 100,000 fans.

We are proud of our expertise in lightweight hybrid cores, rocker and recycled materials, which have propelled our rise to the top of the ski manufacturing world. By investing in cutting-edge technology and extraordinary people, we strive to design precision handcrafted skis to provide the best possible experience for our fans.

Whether it's multi-print products or feature films, Faction's mission is to innovate and produce while always striving for the ultimate in quality. This principle is applied to all their skis and films. The team of experts developed by the brand allows them to push the limits as part of a collective(The Collective), no matter what the task.

As a certified B Corp company in the outdoor industry, Faction meets high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Faction is committed to the environment by donating 1% of sales of Agent, Dancer and La Machine skis to non-profit organizations that fight global warming, in partnership with 1% for the Planet.

Each year we calculate our carbon footprint so that we can make informed decisions about how to reduce our emissions year after year. We understand that fully reducing our emissions may not be possible in some cases, so we are using high-quality carbon offsets to compensate for our Scope 1, 2 and a portion of our Scope 3 emissions for the 2020-21 season. In total, this represents 618,000 kg of CO2, or the equivalent of 1.9 million car miles.

We are determined to continue our climate journey and aim to offset all of our direct and indirect emissions to ultimately achieve a zero carbon footprint. To achieve this, we are working in partnership with Climate Partner. We believe that quality is synonymous with sustainability, which is why we strive to create sustainable products made from locally sourced materials in our factories to minimize transportation emissions. We also reuse scrap material from our skis in our production and use sustainable wood cores and bio-resins to reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, our skis are produced in a factory in Austria powered by 100% renewable energy, reducing the emissions of each ski by more than 50%.
