Designed for ski touring enthusiasts, this lightweight and breathable jacket in Swisswool offers optimal insulation while regulating humidity. With a padding of 60 g/m², it is ideal for cold days in the mountains, ensuring an excellent weight-to-insulation ratio for maximum performance.
The outer material made of PERTEX® QUANTUM provides reliable protection against wind and moisture. The stretch inserts in MERINO AIRSOLATION under the arms and in the back enhance breathability and freedom of movement, making this jacket perfect for challenging terrains and demanding ascents.
The Ortovox Swisswool Piz Boë Jacket W in Wild Berry color is a lightweight and technical jacket, ideal for ski touring or mountain activities where one seeks to combine insulation and mobility. It is filled with Swisswool (60 g/m²), a Swiss wool that retains its warmth even when wet, thus providing constant thermal comfort during exertion. Its outer fabric made of Pertex® Quantum, made from recycled polyamide, effectively protects against wind and abrasion while remaining lightweight. Elastic Merino Airsolation Stretch inserts under the arms enhance breathability and freedom of movement, while the “athletic fit” cut and elastic hood ensure a good fit even with a backpack or harness. The jacket features two large accessible front pockets, and all materials are chosen with an ecological approach: PFC-free, with sustainable wool and recycled fabrics. This is a jacket I would recommend for outings where one desires natural, lightweight, and breathable insulation, but may require an additional layer in very cold weather.
