NEW BACKCOUNTRY SKI BINDING XENIC FRITSCHI
DIN STARTING AT 3
Optimal safety, even for ambitious lightweight skiers. With a DIN adjustment range of 3 to 7, the Xenic 7 offers optimal safety even for very light skiers. Ensuring reliable release even with low adjustment values is not a given for pin bindings, but it is extremely important for light and very light individuals. If you want to buy backcountry ski equipment, it is essential to choose the right gear for your practice.
INCREASED RESISTANCE THANKS TO CARBON FIBER
The toe chassis is made from high-tech plastics reinforced with carbon fibers. For a Xenic that is now even more resistant and durable.
THE RIGHT MIX OF MATERIALS FOR PERFORMANCE AND LIGHTNESS
A smooth ascent, followed by a safe descent. To meet these expectations, our mission is clear: to combine maximum performance and lightness. The choice of materials is crucial here. Whether it is lightweight high-tech plastics, reinforced fiberglass or carbon as used in the automotive and aerospace industries, or high-quality lightweight alloys, ultimately it is the technical requirements that determine the optimal safety and durability of the product, as well as its uncompromising performance. To complete your backcountry ski equipment, choose reliable and high-performing materials.

Technical characteristics: Xenic 10
DIN Xenic 10 4 – 10
Width of ski > 70 mm
Weight 280g / piece without ski brake
Characteristics of both models:
- Comfort, safety, and power.
- Horizontal translation pin levers for secure hold on descent without locking. The heel piece benefits from an extra-wide support providing direct force transfer.
- Reliable release with 10 mm longitudinal compensation of ski flex.
- Lateral and frontal releases adjustable separately and continuously.
- Sophisticated technology simplifying handling without compromise.
- Extra-wide toe and pedal ensuring easy entry
![]() | SECURE HOLD ON DESCENT WITHOUT LOCKINGThe pin levers of the innovative toe move horizontally and absorb vertical forces. Unwanted releases due to shocks from below are avoided without having to lock the system during descent. |
DIRECT FORCE TRANSFER - EASY SKI CONTROLThe force is transferred directly to the ski via the Core Tower integrated into the compact heel piece. The significant diameter of the Core Tower ensures the widest support of the system in its category. | ![]() |
![]() | RELIABLE RELEASE IN ALL SITUATIONSThe elasticity of 10 mm via longitudinal compensation ensures that the pressure exerted on the system remains constant even in cases of strong ski flex. This allows for a secure release at the defined values in all situations. To complete your setup, also consider the Telemark binding equipment suited to your skiing style. |
SAFETY FIRST:
- A sophisticated technology for simple handling: thanks to the lever ascent wedge, it is enough to turn the heel piece 180° to switch the Xenic from descent mode to walk mode without force. The ski brake automatically attaches with the first step.
- Complete and timely release in case of forward fall: after the heel piece release, the shoe tilts forward. Fritschi bindings are the only ones that subsequently release the shoe from the toe at an angle between approx. 65° and 75° depending on the shape of the shoe's tip.
- Lateral and frontal releases adjustable separately and continuously: during a frontal release, the forces involved are considerably higher than during a lateral release. For the binding to function correctly, it must have separate mechanisms equipped with appropriately sized springs allowing for continuous adjustment.
- The descent in complete lightness: the elasticity of mm for the ski via longitudinal compensation, unmatched on insert bindings, allows the ski to maintain its natural flex even under the binding. The ski can thus deploy all its properties, remains agile in all situations, and offers secure grip along the entire length of the edge.
