From August 27 to September 2, 2018 will take place the 16th edition of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc.

On the program of this sporting event seven trails including four in ultra-endurance in the middle of nature and very long duration. Each year, the elite of the world trail meets in Chamonix as well as nearly 10,000 passionate runners to participate in one of the 7 races of the event.

The UTMB is a A"mythical" event created in 2003 is the flagship race of the event. From the first edition, it was called the "race of all superlatives". The route is similar to a complete lap of the Mont-Blanc massif, crossing three countries: France, Switzerland and Italy.

Last year it was runner François d'Haene who won this famous race, followed closely by Kilian Jornet.

Second last year Kilian Jornet will participate again in the 16th edition with his Team Salomon.
