Today, quality is about more than just hard-wearing clothing and a refined design. Quality is also about doing things the right way. For 167 years Devold has been committed to producing the finest merino wool clothing, and is continually working to make even better textiles.
More than half of Devold's products carry the label of the farm where the wool was sourced. This helps reassure you that the clothes you've bought have been made with respect for animals and the planet, and that you can wear their clothes with pride and a clear conscience.
A GOOD CHOICE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Wool is not only good for you, it's also good for the environment. Devold works with carefully selected farmers who take great care of the animals and the soil. The clothes are made in Norway. And you can be sure that the working conditions in the factories are decent and that Devold uses state-of-the-art equipment.
Unlike any synthetic equivalent, Devold wool will be gentle on nature while you wear it and, because of the natural, self-cleaning properties of wool, it will require far less washing than other garments.
Devold of Norway sources merino wool from New Zealand and South America. Most of Devold's merino wool comes from New Zealand, where mulesing is prohibited by law. Devold only cooperates with farmers who produce merino wool that does not use this practice and all Devold wools come with a certificate that guarantees this. In South America, mulesing is not a common practice and none of Devold's merino farmers practice mulesing.
