Hestra, a glove company with a long history

At Hestra, hands are our top priority. For over 80 years, we've been dedicated to developing gloves that offer warmth, protection and exceptional tactile feel in a variety of conditions. Our current range includes over 400 styles, because we understand that every person and every pair of hands is unique, requiring specific gloves.

Our company history has its roots in the mountain forests of the Swedish province of Småland, where Martin Magnusson established his workshop in 1936. Initially, he made gloves for local lumberjacks, but the discovery of a nearby ski slope in 1937 opened up new horizons. The reputation of our durable, high-quality gloves spread beyond the village of Hestra.

Martin's sons Lars-Olofs and Göte became avid skiers, contributing to the company's growth. Over the years, Hestra has become an essential reference point, particularly with the skiing craze of the 1960s. Two more generations of the Magnusson family have since joined the company, preserving the passion for gloves and winter sports.

Although our global presence has grown with four factories producing gloves for sport, fashion and professional use, our dedication to hands and gloves remains unchanged. Hestra remains our home, and over 80 years of expertise teach us that every day is a new experience.
