JAY AND JAYNE BY EDELRID: THE NEW GENERATION VERSATILE HARNESS

If you are looking for a harness that is comfortable on multi-pitch routes as well as in the gym, via ferrata, or on a glacier, look no further. The models JAY (unisex) and JAYNE (specifically designed for female body shapes) return in 2025 in a completely revamped fourth generation. True to its reputation, Edelrid manages to combine versatility, comfort, and durability, while further refining the details.

Comfort, even during prolonged suspension

The most notable innovation? The butterfly shape of the belt, which significantly improves load distribution and comfort during suspension. This ergonomic design limits pressure points, ideal for long climbing sessions or extended belays.
Additionally, the Center Fit technology allows the padding of the belt to slide for a perfectly centered adjustment on the belay loop. The result: a stable, well-positioned harness that is comfortable even when standing or moving.

Technical details that make a difference

Edelrid has thought of everything:

- Fully openable Slide Block buckles on the belt and thighs for putting on the harness even with skis or crampons.
- Soft and parallel attachment points, combined with a widened belay loop for easier handling.
- Wider central ring, for increased comfort during belaying.
- Integrated red wear indicator in critical straps, for quick visual control of the harness's condition.
- Five gear loops, two attachments for ice screw holders, one loop for a chalk bag.

And of course, the JAY and JAYNE are still certified bluesign®, an additional proof of the German brand's ecological commitment.

A cut adapted to every climber

The JAY will be perfect for those whose waist and hips are close, while the JAYNE is specifically adapted to female body shapes, with a narrower belt and longer thigh straps. Note: the width of the straps increases with size for an optimal fit, from XS to XL.

The verdict?

With this new version, Edelrid delivers a complete, reliable, and ready-for-anything harness, whether climbing sport routes, exploring an alpine ridge, or embarking on a multi-pitch climb. For climbers looking for a harness that can accompany them everywhere without compromising on comfort, JAY and JAYNE are top choices.

ACE BY EDELRID: THE ULTRALIGHT HARNESS THAT PUSHES THE LIMITS

When every gram counts, the ACE harness by EDELRID becomes an essential ally. Designed for demanding climbers who seek to combine lightness, freedom of movement, and performance, it returns in an even more refined version. Whether on multi-pitch routes, ice, or technical mountaineering, the ACE is forgotten without ever compromising.

Light, compact… but ultra-strong

The philosophy of the ACE can be summed up in one word: minimalism. Thanks to thorough work on materials – thinner straps, reinforced belt – this new version loses a few more grams while gaining in robustness. Only 274 g in size M: hard to be more discreet.
And yet, despite this featherweight, the ACE ensures exceptional support even in suspension, thanks to a butterfly-shaped ergonomic belt, which perfectly distributes the load without compressing.

3D-Vent Lite technology: ingenuity at the service of comfort

At the heart of the design is the 3D-Vent Lite technology. This unique construction uses straps made of PES and Dyneema® to distribute forces across the entire width of the belt and thigh straps, without creating excess thickness. The load-bearing materials made of monofilament threads offer effective ventilation, ideal for long days on the wall or approaches in full sun.
The robust inner mesh and the resistant outer coating ensure a maximum lifespan, even under intensive use.

Designed to go far… and strong

Every detail of the ACE harness is designed for efficiency:

- Fully openable belt
with aluminum Slide Block buckle, practical and secure.
- Parallel attachment points with anti-abrasion textile protection (HMPE + polyamide).
- Central ring made of Dyneema®, wrapped for added longevity.
- Thin elastic round butt straps: comfort, mobility, natural adjustment.

The harness adapts to all sizes (XS to L), with an evolving strap width to ensure optimal support, regardless of body shape.

Optimized space for gear

Despite its compactness, the ACE harness does not forget the essentials:
- 5 asymmetrical gear loops, including two smaller ones at the back (in sizes XS and S).
- 2 attachments for ice screw holders.
- Red wear indicator in the belt, to always climb with confidence.

The verdict: pure performance, zero compromise

With the ACE, EDELRID offers a high-end ultralight harness, designed for those who aim for performance without neglecting safety or comfort. It is forgotten in movement, remains reliable in suspension, and withstands the worst treatments.
Whether you dream of great limestone walls, engaged ice waterfalls, or technical lines at altitude, the ACE harness is ready to follow you to the end.

Mélissa Le Névé

The story of Mélissa Le Névé reflects the heart of a climber who has found her place on the exceptional and challenging terrain of Céüse, one of the most iconic climbing destinations in France. Each year, she spends months camping at Céüse, immersed in its unique cliffs, which require not only physical strength but also a deep mental commitment.
