Fischer is an Austrian brand created in 1924 by Josef Fischer. It was in his small barn that he started to create wooden sledges and carts. He then decided to make a living from his passion and started designing the first Fischer cross-country ski.
The success of this first model was not long in coming and Fischer gradually made a name for itself.
Between the 1930s and 1960s Fischer stabilised its cross-country skiing business by offering quality equipment, added cross-country ski boots to its catalogue and developed a range of ice hockey equipment.
Josef Fischer died in 1959. His son, also Josef Fischer, takes over the company. 5 years later, the brand acquires a new headquarters in Austria and the largest ski factory in the world. Fischer launches a ski named "Alu-Steel" and becomes the world leader in cross-country skiing.
In 1972, Fischer decided to diversify its offer and started designing and marketing alpine skis and ski boots.
With its many successes and know-how, Fischer continues to embark on new adventures by redeveloping its ranges and turning to tennis, in addition to alpine sports.
The brand has managed to remain independent and family-owned, maintaining quality throughout the entire product manufacturing process.
Fischer is an Austrian brand specialising in skiing in all these disciplines:
