The DUFOUR family has always been an ambitious and innovative family. They have always been focused on tourism and winter sports. Initially the owner of a hotel, Louis DUFOUR, the father, is the pioneer of ski use in Normandy, as well as the organization of competitions.
It was in 1933 that things changed, when the son Éric, an engineer, designed a canvas rescue sled allowing for the transport of injured individuals with their skis. This led to the creation of the company Louis Dufour & sons, which would be renamed Pomoca in 1937 and initially marketed sports articles as well as anti-slip skins for skis.
Then in 1970, the company would rise further, with the creation of self-adhesive skins. The son Guy, who took over the company in 1988, would also bring all his knowledge in the field to significantly increase the waterproofing of the products. It is this technique, this constant evolution, and the many technological innovations that have made Pomoca a world leader in its field to this day.
Out of concern for valorization, eco-responsibility, and transparency, Pomoca has implemented various environmental programs for several years, including waste reduction, the creation of fluorine-free skins, and the "Trace your skin" program. This program allows, via the serial number present on the products, to trace and discover the creation process of the skin. Who created it? How? All these questions that many people ask and which are rarely revealed by companies.
