The origins of the brand

Tentree was founded in Canada in 2012 by Kalen Emsley and David Luba, but does not focus its reforestation activity on North America . Sensitive to the environment they had the desire to create a line of ethical and quality outdoor clothing.

The ingenious idea: plant ten trees for every item purchased.

Initially set up in the basement of their garage, the small business met with dazzling success. In 2019, the company reaches 30 million trees planted. Notably in South America, India, Nepal and Africa. Since the founders of Tentree cannot personally plant every tree, they collaborate with non-profit organisations in a multitude of countries.
The challenge to reconcile the textile industry and ecology was a successful gamble!

With a range of stylish clothing and accessories, it demonstrates that fashion and eco-responsibility go hand in hand. The outfits are made of wood pulp fibres and environmentally friendly materials that meet high durability standards.
